Thank you, Trustify! Now I know an old email address of mine is floating out there on the web as part of the Ashley Madison hack. So is an old email that belongs to my friend, Sarah Scott, for she was my partner in research. Lest you think I'm a cheater, let me say that I told He Who Must Not Stray, otherwise known as my husband, what I was doing on that cold November night back in 2003: research for a possible column in the Montreal Gazette about a cheating website. We signed up, Sarah and I, a little bit tipsy, and within a week, we had more than 100 replies from men who were hairy and not, who had pot bellies, moustaches and fantasies of long and slow threesomes in which edible oils, perfumes and lotions would be used. As I wrote in a column about the experience the following January: Been there. Done that. Yawn.
